Goodnight Twilight

Today said “goodnight”.

Our beds let us rest, until

The morning greets us.

Night is the stage of potential

Starlight dotting the dark navy sky canvass,

now swirling quickly out of view.

Sunrise pushes circadian rhythms to horrible realities,

as another workday begins anew.

Atop of paraffin stalks,

Opening the night.

Darkened skies fall,

Bright sunshine radiates up;
